Dynasylan® for wood treatment

Wood impregnation with silanes improves the useful life of treated wood.

Hydrophobic and oleophobic effects can be achieved on wood surfaces using fluoroalkyl silanes. Particularly effective is the product Dynasylan^® SIVO 121. This product is UV-stable, water-borne, non-film forming surface treatment. The natural feel, touch, beauty, and smell of the wood remain unchanged, whereas water and oil are repelled by the treatment.

Dynasylan^® SIVO 121 is normally applied to uncoated wood surfaces and generates a hydrophobic and easy-to-clean effect on the surface of the wood.

As it is not a coating, it is almost invisible and does not leave a layer on the surface. It penetrates into the material and is breathable (not impermeable to water) and avoid trapped moisture.
