Even though aluminum is less corrosive than other metal substrates it is often necessary to protect the surface against corrosion which is caused by corrosive agents such as chloride from salt. In contrast to common solutions, applied in this area, Dynasylan® SIVO 160 contains neither heavy metals, nor fluorides which are highly undesirable from an environmental point of view.
Enormous damage and global costs cause a major interest in reducing metal corrosion.
Water-borne formulations based on Dynasylan® SIVO 160 are excellent for the protection of blank aluminum. The best effects are often achieved using dry film thicknesses of 100 to 200 nm.
Furthermore, galvanized surfaces can also be protected using Dynasylan® SIVO 160.
