Dynasylan®

Dynasylan® - Evonik's brand for functional silanes

  • Application areas
  • Coatings & metal treatment

Adhesion promotion

Inorganic substrates, such as metals, ceramics, and glass are problematic as coatings often do not adhere well. Silanes can help as adhesion promoters. They are used in one of two ways:

  • Additive

The silane can be added directly into the coating formulation. Care has to be taken, so that the silane is compatible with the formulation.

  • Primer system

Diluted silane solutions can be used for the formulation of adhesion promotion primer. A technical information sheet is available.
