Dynasylan® Additives for the Foundry Industry

In the foundry industry Dynasylan® are used to achieve the following effects in moulds and cores that are produced using synthetic resins:

  • Improvement in the initial and final strength
  • Reduction in the amount of resin required
  • Increase in the shelf life of the resin
  • Reduction in sensitivity to ambient moisture

Our Top Products:

  • Dynasylan® 40
  • Dynasylan® A

The amount of silane employed is usually very low. A typical formulation for a synthetic-bound sand is given at left. The silane is always added to the resin.

A wide range of binder systems has been developed for the Dynasylan® - ideal for every resin system.

The choice of the right silane for a particular resin system is made on the basis of known structure/effect relationships and empirical testing.
