Evonik offers two brands for customers in the electronic market: Siridion® for chlorosilanes and Dynasylan® for organofunctional silanes. These ultra high pure Siridion® and Dynasylan® silanes are mainly used in CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposition) or Epitaxy processes to build layers of silicon, silicon dioxide and silicon nitride on the wafers. Siridion® and Dynasylan® is available in a significant number of substances that are essential in the field of innovative chip structures.
Silane Chemicals
Silanes vary widely in function, from binding the organic and inorganic to transforming the hydrophilic to hydrophobic. Evonik builds on decades of experience in fully integrated Silane synthesis, purification and analysis, and our vast portfolio of appropriately structured and formulated Silanes can enhance performance and improve yields of various products and processes:
- Adhesion promotion (e.g. chemical coupling)
- Surface modification (e.g. dispersion, hydrophobation)
- Reinforcement (e.g. "healing/sealing" of glass surfaces)
- Crosslinking (e.g. HD polyethylene)
- Comonomer (e.g. sol-gel systems)
